my car doesnt like to go into reverse, it just up and quit one day, and hasnt worked since, except one day i got pissed and dumped the clutch and it worked for the rest of the day, then the next day it wouldnt work again. sny help would be greattt

you can't physically move the shifter there, or it doesn't engage?

more info on the car? tranny/car/short shifter?

its an 88 LX with a DOHC ZC and the transmission that came with the zc... I can get it into reverse, but it doesnt enagage, and when it does engage it gets stuck in reverse...

I don't have much experience with clutches, but it may need some gear lube.
