i want to know if it would be easier and cheaper to go with a k20or a b16a sir2 for my 1992 honda civic with ab15d7 and i would still like to be able to pass the im in my state of alaska? i have about 1500 to spend and want to get the best bang for my buck.

first of all, you aren't going to get either one of those in your car and running for $1500. once you're past that, it's going to be MUCH easier and far cheaper to put a B16 into a 92 civic than it would to do a K-series swap...K swaps aren't for beginners, and they're definitely not 'easy'. As far as passing IM, as long as the motor is the same year or newer as your car and you retain all of your emissions equipment, you should be fine. |
