I bought a 93 honda and come to find out the crank pulley is welded in? To make matters worst the pulley now crack? Any idea how I can get it off? or the best thing to do? Oh ya the guys wont give me my money back for the car!

Well it seems like you might have to pull the crank out and tak it to a machine shop to get cut of and milled. Lots of labor involved.

agreed. why in the hell would you weld the pulley to the crank? *facepalm*. all i can figure is maybe they somehow stripped out the threads for the crank pulley bolt. and if that is what happened, welding that shit on there was a terrible idea.

ooh, have fun getting the crank out without removing the crank pulley.
It'd be easier (and cheaper) to just buy another bottom end. You're going to have to buy a new crank. new crank pulley, have your block line-bored for the new crank, measure for new bearings, buy the new bearings, buy a new oil pump (because you'll have to cut the old one off)... yeah, just buy a new bottom end. |
