Hello folks,
My little red go cart, as I call it, threw the timing belt a couple weeks ago. It seems it had shredded a few notches on the timing belt a while ago & probably jumped a couple teeth (thus was running like crap as well) - I really want to get this 50 MPG beast in top notch running condition, it's a good car with 130,000 miles on it but unfortunately the previous owner did not maintain the engine well (nor did I , neglecting to more thoroughly check the timing belt and changing it out). What are my options here?? slap a timing belt on and hope for the best - and what should I do to get the block and head lined back up without further damage to valves - I did consider an engine swap, but it seems the EW1 is hard to come by. What would be the easiest and most fuel efficient engine swap?? Thanks in advance |
