Default Finally back in the garage....

2010CRX

After about a year sitting outside waiting for someone to steal the wheels...nobody took them. I can't claim insurance... ohh well..

Finished up my buddies Z..and got a chance to clean the garage up to make room for a decent build. To finally install all the parts I've collected for a while.

On the cutting table is a B20B swap, with a cable GSR tranny, a Houseman Wide Body full race body kit, a full hack and weld 3-4 inch drop...... , major re-construction to turn a near mint 87 crx shell into a a no expense spared full race/street/show car..... and if the economy turns around...then it might see major engine mods with boost....

/enter exaggerated returns to make the page longer

Brand new again after 23 years, that's what you're shooting for?

As of 0830 am this morning...the operation has started.....

Got all the car propped up, rear tires off, brake lights out, rear garanish removed, rear bumper off, chopped off the rusted crappy muffler from 10 years ago, did a quik drop, and I have to cut an inch off of the rear wheel well's lip, and took some pictures to rub it in that I have the least rusted CRX in the north east...and it's the older gen's.... somebody should have bought this from me before I go to it with a saw and a welder....

The only rust spot on the car...will soon be cut off.... it's just a shame that the passengers side doesn't even have a bubble...but ohh well....

first two hours into the op.

with a 30 min breather and a beer... I made the first mark...then cut, and after I make this post...the first weld.

got to love my $250 marking tool.

I might get the car all chopped and welded today....if the wife doesn't bother me anymore....

passengers side is welded....

but I went overboard....I should have just left it at spot welds... but then again, I didn't want too much flex...so I should have done some mini-seam welds... but ohh no...I went with full on welds....

and halfway thru...I remembered that I still have the interior in... so I had to stop and go..and watch for flames an fires....

Thankfully...nothing happened, except the heat warped a weld...but no bid deal since it will be hidden. and I know the seam wont cut the tires....
