| Junior Member | well im new to hondas. I mostly have a dsm and srt4 background. i have been looking around on here for swap info. I have a 92 civic dx with a d15b7 in it. Im just looking for more power. I know the car is obd1. so i was looking at the b16a2. is that a direct swap, if i get the motor, ecu, trans, etc... thanks a ton Andrew |

It's not a difficult swap; you either need to convert the engine to OBD1 or convert the car to OBD2 (converting the engine is probably the best option assuming you don't have to deal with inspections), but not quite a "drop it in, bolt it up, and plug it in" type of deal... |

Damn the rep God's for now allowing multiple reppage!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() By the way Vickin, I would suggest converting the engine to OBD1. The reason? It is MUCH easier to tune OBD1 than it is OBD2. That's just my own two cents from what I have learned. Check out Rywire - Online Store for any harnesses you may need. Also, search around the site and you will see how others have gone about doing their swaps. ![]() You will need new motor mounts for sure. Best of luck on your swap.
