Default 1995 civic d-15=Turbo?

Hey there tuners..I'm wanting to boost my honda civic. Its a d-15. Where do i start? Is there a way to turbo my car without spending 1k on it? What turbos will fit this motor? Can i get the turbo from other turbo cars? I was told to JUNKYARD LOOK first? Any help would help me out..
Thanks KOV

You can definitely use turbos from other cars. One of the most common ones that people like to use are the Mitsubishi turbos from the 1st and 2nd generation Eclipses and Talons. Start your search there, and read up a ton here on this site and on homemadeturbo.com. That site is a really good resource for DIY turbocharging.

You get what you pay for. But custom is usally cheaper than a kit but maybe better

DON'T BUY AN EBAY 'kit'.

Piece it together yourself. You can spend less than 1k, but you'll end up replacing parts. Best just to buy all new for crucial parts.

Nah, it's doable... if you have lots of freebies. I have lots of freebies.
