The best is the one that will give you the most power that you can afford. There is no answer to that question, at least not without knowing what you want from the car, what you're going to be doing with the car, how much money you can spend, how much wrech time you want to put in, etc...

Check out www.hmotorsonline.com they sell complete swaps. They are pretty much the best in the business to buy from. Find something that is in your price range now and you can always go from there with other parts to extract more performance.

Have you considered boosting your current engine? How much power are you looking for here?

Well you're going to be hard pressed to make that on a non-boosted B-series swap. A B16 puts out 160 horses at the crank, so subtract 20% for drive-train power losses and you're looking at 128-ish wheel horsepower, and less then 100 ft/lbs torque. Making up 70 wheel horse is going to take more then just bolt-ons, you're going to need to crack open the engine and start replacing the internals.
In my opinion a boosted D16Z6 would be a better and cheaper way to get the power you want. Either that, or drop in an LS and boost it. What's your budget here?

Personally I have a GSR and love it. Although Im looking for some advice for N/A power to improve performance myself. Not sure what your overall goal is (HP/TQ) but a GSR is a great platform. Of course you can always make the argument about different heads and such.
Anyone have some info on CTR cams vs. GSR cams without changing pistons? |

Hmmm idr, i just bought the civic 2 nights ago an it had just had the b20b put in a week before that. The guy i bought it from has a turbo civic that he drag races an he's puttin out somethin like 550+whp so he an all his workers said but i guess he fucked up his trains that same week so he decided to sell the coupe to me an get a new trans an have it built to handle that power.
i got lucky the car also got a fresh paint job within the last month. looks real good. but yeah go on hondamotorsonline.com or w/e it is, an check out a b20. ;] |

I would think about maybe doing a rebuild on your Z6 and then boosting it, or, pull it out and sell it now while it still runs and then put the money towards a swap...

Dont we all. You better be a track/drag racer, street racing isnt worth the risk anymore. Especially with my near "stunt driving" charge for almost going 50km over the limit, no point.

Not if you plan on going B-series. You'll also need a B-series transmission...

Last night my brother an I drove about a mile from our house, at midnight. He has an Integra LS it's a 96. I have a 95 coupe with a b20b swap. Both cars have brand new clutch kits an are both in great condition. It's a double laned highway, no cars insight. We lined them up an raced a few times, never saw one car the entire time. Anyways, the point of this story is, if you wanna save a little money a b20 might be around the same price range as an LS but the performance of a stock b20 compared to a stock LS is some what better. I'm going b20/Vtec, thats something you could do after the fact also..
