The only issue I think you may have is the EG is obd1, but if your not in a stat that requires obd testing your good to go. A b16 is a good choice, almost all the B series are fairly straight forward swaps. But this really should have been in the Hybrid thread. BTW, if you splerg and get the EK4 SiR II b16, that baby has 170 hp stock.

imo b16's SUCK

they have no torque at all, under 4k rpms is feels just like a d series, i dont think its worth is its a tiny engine 1.6 but if moneys tight you might as well but i think you should save up a little bit more and get a gsr or even ls-t

When I race, mine doesn't spend any time under 4000. The gearing is tight enough that I can keep it in Vtec through all of the gears.

intake and exuast yes but your headers won't fit . as far as a gsr goes they are ok i've pulled them with a d16 model . you see with enough hard work and money even the smallest engine will pull even the most torqued out gsr there is so do your research because manifold adjustment adds up more than you think

deff get the lsd!!!

if u didnt know, it slows the rotation of the inner wheel when cornering so you dont have understeer; ie: better cornering, less slipping.

most sites give you the option to put in the type of engine as opposed to the type of car. for cat-back systems you would get the kind made specifically for your car, for the header you would look for a b16 header, Megan racing makes quality products that look and perform great and they aren't as exspensive as some of the higher name brands, Megan Racing i think. i bought a header from them for my d16, ive had it on for 2 years now with no problems

same here , for the cost difference between the b16 and the gsr , i would rather stick to the good old b16a i had one in my old eg hatch and i used to smoke gsr , ls turbos , evos , srt-4s , type-r , h22s in accords you name it , as long as you can drive worth a damn and you spend money on stuff that actually works ... go for it . i recoment a jun spec ecu , 3" short ram intake , 4-1 headers , str8 exaust with no cat/resonator sum stage 2 axles and a good set of tires ( not azenis ) 555r or the neogen nitto's are perfect ..

stage 2 axles are overkill. you won't need them unless you are planning on making over 300 hp. don't waste money on shit you don't need

actually there not really over kill ... im sure you havent seen a civic out launch a evo 8 on stock axles and how would stock axles ever survive with nitto 555r slicks ? slap sum on your ride and well see how long ur axles last ... good trick to out launch evos and srts and all those hardcore badasses that cant fix up cars so they buy cars that are already fast , launch @ 5,200 rpm and feather off the clutch dont dump unless you got slicks ... worked for me very well and i got videos to prove it

the reason you upgrade the axles is so you don't snap them off the line and so they will be able to withstand the force of a high horsepower launch. if you aren't making much power then you don't need them. slicks are also a waste of money on a STREET CAR, its retarded.
