Default Cam timing

Hey, I accidently forgot to mark the cam and belt, so I messed up the cam timing, when I took the cam gear off.
I read around and I guess you don't use a timing gun for the cam timing.
Any help on how to time it correctly please?
I don't have the belt cover.

You start the car, drive 150mph down a dark road, and blow 3 red lights in a row.
That should do it.

why would you need to fix the civic when you've got a TL that goes 150?

But in all seriousness, get yourself a fucking FSM, or hell, there are ones available online. Try redpepperracing.com. You won't learn anything if people spoon feed you such basic information.

Here's the basic idea... line up the cam to TDC, line up the crank to TDC, Install belt. Done. Now its up to you to figure out all the details.

be nice guys.

Look on the crank pulley and on the cam gears.

there are up arrows.

all 3 (or 2 if SOHC) should match.

Sorry, yes just look for a service manual as stated above. Not only will it help you right now, but it will also help you with things in the long run. Very handy to have when you've got things you don't understand. Then you don't have to wait for us to reply :P
