Im sure its fine but you would want to mask off where the belt rides obviously.

Yea tape off the belt grooves. Also try to find some Hi temp paint because regular paint will get ruined by the engine heat. What color are you planning on painting it?

I am planning to used the Dupli-Color w/ceramic... its a High Temp good for
up to 500 f

The color would be Gloss Black... Nothing fancy..
