i'd go for the h22a im dropping one into my 99 hatch right now. its too difficult but make sure you find someone that knows there way around cars or you could get stuck.
the main things you need for the swap is -the swap itself engine tranny ecu a/c p/s _ 2200 -hasport axles_359 -hasport motor mounts _ i think 500 -shift linkage and shift box i had no problems dropping my engine in right now its down to wiring. i am still gonna have my A/C and P/S!! but my mechanic had to fab some special hoses. ive also pretty much rebuilt the motor to save myself from problems later on. ill give an update on how well 0it drives sooner or later |

Hahahaha.
You underestimate the power of Honda my friend. So I must be crazy or I must have been dreaming I guess. Lol I'm not lying. He's a great driver and the car is wicked fast. You don't have to believe me but I know what I saw. I think he had his headers in against the skyline but he didn't against the evo. |

LOl.
I don't live in the U.S dude. All parts and pretty much all cars except for drag race cars are street legal. A 1000hp here is street legal. He drives around like once a year but you get my point. I live on an island called curacao. It was a evo 4 and a skyline gtst. Not a gtr or something dude. But it's still impressive. |

well that would be the easy way and spend less money. i am going eather with the ls/vtec or k20 for the civic eg but i never considerd the h22 but it would take a good amount of money and time to swap that h22 in the civic.

ya a little more hP but the weight makes it less efficiant. the fact that it the erly ones had iron blocks weighs the car down and it almost makes it slower. Its redline is also 7500 as opposed to 8500 or 9000 in some b16s. but for the price u could get an h22 ucould get a k20 from a type s with 200 hp then you can put the JDM cams inot to push it to 210 hp then you could chip it. chips are more redily avialable for the k20 and k24 than the H22 and the older engines.

Another fact about an h22 swap is there is alot of cutting involved and im not ot keen on that idea because the more cutting you do on the crossmember the weaker it gets unless u box i in.. its just alot easyer for regular applications to put a b16 in a civic. If u intend to make it a track car then a turbo h22 may be the way to go but for evey day easy swap id say the b16 first, K20 second and h22 3rd
