Default ex a/c problem

Hey there,
I got a 95ex. The ac doesn't work I have attemped to add refrigerant and that wouldn't get the compressor going. I pulled the connector off the pressure switch found on the driverside just beside the condensor and headlight. I energized that with 12v and the compressor rolled with the ac switch on in the car. I turned the switch off and the compressor quit. I would assume the switch in the car is good. I also swapped out the two relays just on top of the pressure switch and nothing changed. I checked the voltage on the pressure switch and said like 234v? Do I need a new pressure switch or what? I have the manual for the car however the ac section is not included from honda? Could someone with a little more knowledge assist me. I appreciate all the help you can lend me in advance...take care..
