Default Fuel Gauge Problem

My fuel gauge is not working its not heading towards the F or the E. I just recently put an EX gauge into my DX, when I pulled the DX cluster it was working fine but now it wont move in the EX cluster could it possibly be the sender unit. And also the cluster just keeps beeping what can that be? Thanks.

the sending unit wires are backwards on the ex from the dx. you need to get a wireing diagram and find out wich are wich and reverse them in the plug and you should be doin ok.
