hay i was just wondering why people buy b16 and b18's and motors like that from japan b/c their the best but why dont anyone buy a H22a thats half its price and has more hp and trq

is it b/c you cant supe the H22 up or what? im so confused about that

ppl do buy the h22a its just a personal opinion what ppl like more. and the b series drops in with stock mounts the h22a does not also on some cars you have to cut to get the h22a to fit

Yeah, by the time you purchase a mount kit and make the proper modifications to fit an H22 into a Civic you'll probably spend as much if not a little more money than you would on a B-series swap. The H22 is also slightly heavier than a typical B-series engine, but it's nothing that can't be fixed with after-market springs (which should be on your list of parts to buy anyway if you're to the point of doing motor swaps)...

Ive done a lot of swaps and I always use an engine hoist to put the motor in the car.

beleive me man, the h22 swap in the eg is really NOT hard at all, it took me 3 days with minimal wiring mods and about 20 minutes of cutting and grinding, the only thing that gave me a problem was the shifter and shift linkage.....
