Anyone have any documentation or literature on this?
Ive got a complete parts car that im getting my motor out of for the swap, just curious to see if anyone has attempted it before, and can give me some pointers. The civic will be down for as long as i need it to be im not worried about the time factor, but more so the logistics of it. Thanks in advanvce! |

My question for you is why? Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should. Is the Integra interior really an upgrade? It isn't, in my opinion. You'd just be doing it for the sake of doing something. What's so cool about opening up your Civic's door and seeing Acura logos everywhere?
If you want to upgrade a Civic's interior, I'd rather see some nice Civic Type R pieces, or even after-market stuff. Go for it if you want, but honestly I think it's a big waste of time for something that's not even an upgrade. __________________

First off, i want to say thanks for posting your useless opinion that didn't help me at all! Kudos to you sir.
Secondly, what i choose to do with my car is my business and i don't have to justify it to you or anyone else, but hey, I'll tell you why I'm asking since you seem so interested in this! I have an entire Integra parts car that i bought and I plan on building this civic as a project/fun car. It not my daily driver, its just something i've got to play around with and i want to do something different. If i wanted the same cookie cutter thing thats in every other guys "done up" civic then id go with the route you suggested, but i like to be different and try new things, try it sometime its a pretty cool thing to do I posted on here because it would be helpful if someone has done it before and could give their experiences good or bad. In one breath you criticize me for representing my civic as an acura, but the next you tell me to do something worth while and misrepresent it as a type R. Well Sir, you enjoy your "Type R civic" and ill enjoy my "Acura Civic" Everyone has their own unique tastes and style, just because you don't agree with mine or you wouldn't do it doesn't mean its pointless. Anyone with any USEFUL comments would be appreciated. Cheers. |

I understand you wanting to do something unique, but then again CTR parts in a Civic is totally different than an Integra interior. You're right, a CTR interior won't magically turn your car into an actual CTR, but at least it makes sense. Why do people swap motors and suspension parts from other Hondas, if not to make their cars more powerful and better performing like the ones that are available from the Honda factory in Japan?
I just don't see the point of an Integra interior into a Civic. It's like the multitude of pointless front and rear end conversions that you see spoken about on forums all the time. You're just taking parts from one car, and slapping them onto another, with little regard to whether it actually makes sense or looks good. Like I said before, just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD do something. It's great that you have an Integra parts car to work with, and I certainly would recommend utilizing the engine and transmission, but the interior? Why? Have you even looked at the Integra interior? It's not all that great. I have one, I know. The cupholder sucks ass, it's useless for anything but tiny little fast food cups or soda cans, and even then, they'll get in the way of the radio. It's your car, so do what you want, but honestly, I think it's a big waste. And just so my post isn't completely useless this time, no, I don't think the Integra dash is a direct bolt-in. It is for a 92-95 Civic, since it's the same chassis as the Integra, but to fit it in your car will probably require some modifications. __________________

Hi! I dont know if an integra interior is an upgrade or not, but I once saw an EG hatchback swapped with a DC5 interior, shifter on the floor and everything! Now, THAT was an upgrade, alright! Dont know about you, but I hate the dash shifter! Good luck with it if you do it.

You're very confused. EG is the chassis code for a 92-95 Civic. The 01-05 Si is an EP.
