hey, last week i bought an integra ls 95 shell in 600$, so... just want to slap an h22 on it when my buddy comes back from his country.my question is, is the h22 compatible with the integra's manual transmission or do i have to get a lude transmission? also.... whats the difference between vtec transmissions and non vtec ones, will I loose power if I stay with a nonvtec transmission and I slap that h22 vtec in there?

do some research cuz you might have to change more then you think...generally the cars compatable with the tegs are civics and then you got accords which are compatable with ludes..thats for the most part...but i could be wrong........but if your gonna go to a vtech motor def. go with the tranny also and be prepared to change up some mounts to make it fit

H-series into Civics and Integras arent really practical, do your research, you have much to learn.

1.) This is an Integra question, right? And you thought it would be a good idea to put it in the Civic forum rather then the Integra forum, why?

2.) No, the H22 is NOT compatible with the Integra's transmission. You can make it work via an expensive adapter plate, but it's probably cheaper to just use the H22's transmission.

3.) What do you mean by "VTEC transmissions"? VTEC has nothing to do with the transmission...

ok.... lets start: why did i post it here? well bcuz im the owner of a civic and I hate integra owners, plus, what are u doing in the civic forum if u have an integra? and the thing about the transmissions, well yes there is a difference vtec transmissions have shorter gears, and non vtec loger ones, I just want to know which one is better( i dont wanna hear: "well it all depends the of the purpose", I just want to know which one is faster...)

but...he will tear you to shreads is what you apparently dont get.
and yeah you are starting shit he was helping you out... brutals way

depends on the purpose. and how you define 'fast'

'fast' is way too loose these days. do you mean quick or fast?

"vtec transmissions", the ones with shorter gears are quicker than "non-vtec" transmissions.

non-vtec transmissions are faster than vtec transmissions.

By purpose, if your doing auto-x, you want short gears so you can come out of the corners in the powerband plus your not reaching high speeds. Long gears give you a top end but less accel. Short gears give you more accel but less top end.

Gearing is the reduction or amplification of power depending on the ratios of gears. Simple stuff fella, shoulda been able to just use simple principles to find your answer here without us...

Why do you hate Integra owners?

plus, what are u doing in the civic forum if u have an integra?

So since I own an Integra, I should only post in that forum? Even if I have knowledge that pertains elsewhere? No, just admit that you're an idiot and that you should have posted this in the Integra forum...

and the thing about the transmissions, well yes there is a difference vtec transmissions have shorter gears, and non vtec loger ones, I just want to know which one is better( i dont wanna hear: "well it all depends the of the purpose", I just want to know which one is faster...)

What do you think the answer to this question is? Shorter gears = faster acceleration, always...
