I have read aroud that people are able to get full heating controls working in a USDM 96 Civic. My question is, how is this accomplished since the USDM climate controls are cable operated?

Most guys use Ek9 clips, and simply transfer over all the components, along with heater controls and the like. Same goes for EG6 JDM climate controls - and their 'Auto' functions.

my understanding is if the car came with electronic climate control, it is just a matter of running the correct wires. However, what I would like to know is how people clame that full heating functions on the 96 - 98 US models which have cables. I have read about having to change out some engine parts to give the 96s electric heating. Can anyone put up a list of all the needed parts perhaps?
