Need help before I bought the wrong one?

are all ecu and engine hardness the same for all civic ex D16Y8 manual from 96 to
2000?
I am wondering if I can used a 99 ex d16y8 manual on my 96 ex manual?

If someone know please let me know, before fuck everything...

96-98 is obd2A and 99-00 is obd2B.

Harness pinout to the ecu is different.

you can use it you just need to get a conversion harness for the ecu
