im about to get JDM ENGINE.. i wanted b18c1 or b18c5 (type R)... i wonder what best tranny for that 1? shld i get b18c tranny or b18c5 tranny... How about SI TRANNY or LSD TRANNY??? tell me what different between them.. pls reply me asap

Well it depends on what you're gonna be doing to your engina and how much power you're gonna be putting down. Me personally when I did my C5 swap I gave my type r tranny with lsd to my boy since right now he's putting down a whole lot more power than I am and the lsd will benifit him better than me, so I just used my type r tranny you can always get an lsd later if need be.

That's what everyone says. Only thing that sucked about it was after the swap bout a month after I gave away the tranny my si tranny took a dump on me one of the bearrings came loose and ate up everything inside so I ended up having to buy a new one.

the b18 trans have stronger diffs
the C5 trans comes with an lsd
might as well get the entire swap and get an awesome trans.

yea c5 trannys go for 1000-1500. good luck tho, i look out for one....then again thats like trying to get a date with jessica alba meaning NEVER GONNA HAPPEN...lol srry.

oo and it doesnt matter what kinda power ur puttin down (unless your lookin for good mpg) the shorter geared tranny is ALWAYS better.
