Default So I'm stumped

Ok so ya'll remember my little mishap(s) on Tuesday? Well I thought I had fixed the problem but no dice. Drove all the way from home to work this morning, 53 miles no problem, drove to the bank to make some deposits for work, and a few other errands. THen around 4pm I stopped by one of my boy's performance shop cause they was supposed to have one of my a/c compressor their, upon leaving their, the same thing that happened Tuesday happened again. Major fuel cut, wouldn't crank for about 20 minutes and when she did, I manage to drive about 20 feet then no fuel again. I checked the fuel lines like EG6 suggested and from what I can see none seems to be pinched from me rolling over that big old tread.

All the guards that cover the fuel lines under the car seems tp be in tack, so I pulled the fuel pump and re-clamped the connectors and made sure the ground was tight, just cause one of my boys said it might be my fuel pump. But today while I was stalled on the freeway I unhooked it again and put it back again, and she primed every time, and I could feel the line vibrate as fuel ran through but some how it's not getting to the engine itself. Was planning on just taking it to the dealership to let them have the headache but both are backed up till tuesday, so in the meantime if any one have any suggestions as to what it might be I'm open for ideas.

umm, this may sound wierd, but check your wires for the o2 sensors. . . if nnot that, then I would say what eg6 said about a pinched fuel line.

Will check that tomorrow didn't think to look at that while I had it raised up, but wouldn't it throw a cel for that

Check for loose connections? The jarring from the tire could have knocked a connector loose.. Tossing any CEL's?

Do those civics have the same main relay problems as the late 80's/early 90's civics had? Could have aggravated a loose connection in there.

Put it up on a rack if you can and do a close inspection of the whole underside of the car.. Look for stripped/crushed wires, too.. Under the front bumper as well, no telling how far that thing flexed back.

Are the injectors "firing" and not getting any fuel, or are they not ticking at all?

no cels, and as for the relay I don't think there were any problems with the 99-00 si's but I did check the relay also today while I was on the freeway. when I had that bogging problem I had bought a new relay but since that wasn't the problem I had put the old one in but kept the new one in the car, so I put in the new onw while I was waiting to be towed but no dice. injectors are firing just not getting any fuel

sometimes the cel for the second o2 sensor doesnt set right away, but yah, after a whole day of driving it prolly would have. wouldn't hurt to look tho.

Thats odd as hell, man. Fuel pump is whirring, injectors are ticking.. no fuel. And you can drive it 50 miles before it eats shit.

Is that recurring? Drive it for 50ish miles and it breaks down for a bit, then starts back up? Or is it just dead now? Reason I ask is sometimes cars will do that if the gas cap is messed up. Cadillacs are bad about it.

You sure its a fuel issue, not a spark issue?

Recurring, just the 2nd time since rolling over that tread. as far as I can tell it's getting spark, I had to end up buying one of those see through dizzy caps cause every shop in town was out of the oem ones when I was looking for as I thought the cap and rotor might have been the cause of the bogging issue I had a while back so I can see the sparks as it's cranking. What's killing me is that when I was sitting on the freeway I'd crank and she'd start then as I try to take off...fuel cut. Try to crank wight after that and nothing, wait a while and she'd turn over.

Sounds like something is overheating. Start it cold, runs fine, breaks down on you, let it cool, starts up again..

When is the last time you changed your fuel filter? Does it spit and sputter and run like crap before it dies or does it instantly cut off?

I still want to point to the fuel pump, personally.. Might have blown a seal inside there.

Sounds like a coil overheating to me.

Bad coil. Works for a while then when it heats up it quits.
