Default synchros.

Whenever I'm in vtec now, and I'm shifting from 2nd to 3rd, it will grind going in if I don't wait for the revs to drop alot. Anyone; confim this is a syncho going out? If so, next step; where can I buy replacements? I'd like to get brand new, possibly stronger versions if they exist. Or if anyone's got some for sale...

Thanks!

I've got an Action Clutch 2KS kit w/ a Toda 8.8lb chromoly flywheel waiting to be put in. The synchro's will go in during the same job.

It's a B16A from a '95 SiR-II. Y21 tranny.

I have my stock clutch in currently

What are sleeve sets in regards to synchros? i'm looking at gearspeedinc.com. I've now read carbon coated is the way to go? Do they last longer? I've heard they're smooth.

Carbon coated wouldn't be bad, but you don't know how good the quality of non-OEM transmission parts are. I replaced my 2-3 gear synchros with new parts from the dealer, and it only cost me $160. Works great!
