Default 02 civic bolt on help

Just got my licence and an 02 civic LX 5 speed. I was wondering if anyone knows of good bolt ons that will add power and not change the sound of the engine dramatically(my dad might flip out). but i know he'll let me get exhaust which should cover up change in engine sounds. Also does anyone know of good sounding exhaust for civics? Thanks

You're not going to find any quiet after-market exhausts for under $300. It's all going to be super loud E-Bay junk. I think your best bet would be to take it to an exhaust shop and have them build you something...

bolt ons on civic are a waste imho. your car will go faster if you get better tires, suspension, and brakes. an exhaust would more than likely decrease power due to not enough back pressure.
