Default 2003 civic ex tune up

Right now, I'm looking for ways to supe up my car. So far I have the interior part done (speakers, lights, seat covers) And now I'm trying to look for ways to make my car fast as hell. I asked my cousin and he told me that I can't do much to make an automatic car faster... so I hung up on him. I'm a noob to this, and the only things I've done so far are basic tune up things; spark plugs, oil changee, etc. Can anyone give advice on how I can improve performance like hell for my car- sound better and make faster-wise?

Thnx

So you asked your cousin for advice, and he told you something which was the truth, but you didn't want to hear it, so you hung up on him? Congratulations, you might be an asshole.

And FYI, he's completely right. Automatic Civics suck. Just drive it and enjoy the nice gas mileage...

Yes I'm fully aware that I was an asshole, but he knows it was for the lulz. Just dissapointed that all I can do to the car is make it look fast and just for show... Oh wells. tanks do.

You can always swap it to manual. Drop a K20 in there while you're at it...

Well, yeah, it'll cost some bucks. But really, what did you think you were going to be able to do for cheap that would make your car significantly faster? You can drop a grand on intake, header, and exhaust for a Civic and you'll still be slow as fuck. The only way to have a truly fast Honda (aside from buying one of the fast ones to start with) is to do an engine swap, go turbo, build your motor, etc.

And yeah, a stock Civic vs. a GT Pony? Probably not the best idea...

Well, I am a noob when it comes to this. and no, I didn't expect to be able to supe the hell out of my car for cheap, just increase performance a bit and make it sound more ear shattering, enough to catch attention ... since the v-tec in this thing sounds like a ...really loud lawn-mower.

keep the car for gas mileage, or get a manual car... dc2/eg or ek with a b/ep3 or newer si/h22 lude/dc5 (not so good for turns, understeers like a bitch)/delsol or rex w/ b16 or b18/s2k

those are all cars that have potential to be fast.
