Hello all,
Ok so I'm a dumbass and put too much oil in my car last night without thinking. This morning i started driving and my car was bogging and shit, so I went back home and drained some oil out of it and she ran great. Problem is it caused a check engine light, so I disconnected the battery for about 20 seconds and reconnected it and now it says "code" on the stereo head unit and I am not allowed to listen to the radio. Do I have to go to a honda mechanic to fix this? Thanks! |

Do you happen to have the original owner's manual booklet? Sometimes the dealer will write the radio lock code in there. Look there first (if you have one), and then look around the glove box, maybe pull the radio and see if they put a sticker with the code on it anywhere. If you can't find anything then take it to the dealer...

Yup, look for 4 numbers penned into the book somewhere, or a business card that says "radio code" on it..
Also, check the underhood fuse box cover, on the under side, lots of dealerships hide the code in there. __________________

Thanks for your help guys! I looked it up on google and did the "1-6-power" thing and got the code, then brought it in to the dealership where they hooked me up with my radio code free of charge. Supposedly like you guys mentioned the code is supposed to be on a sticker in the glove box, trunk, or written in the manual, but it wasn't :P
Now it is! ![]() Thanks again! |
