D16Y8 Transmission swap??
I have a 2000 Civic EX D16Y8 w/Manual 5 speed. making a loud growling noise in first & second gear. I assume the trans is shot. what transmissions will fit into my civic. some modifications are no problem. the motor was blown when i got it. we rebuilt the motor only to find the trans is noisy. the block is decked .020 and the head is milled .020, changed the cam gear to bring the cam timing back. it seems to run good but the noise is killing me.
