D16y8 Vtec Head Build, Questions About Upgraded Valvetrain!!
Hey guys, I have a D16y8 head that I'm mating to a D16a6 (non-vtec) block and putting in my EF (88-91' Civic) chassis. I got talking with the guys doing mini-me swaps and they suggested putting a "Stage 2" camshaft in with just stiffer valve springs. I do not know which stiffer valve springs I should put in, does this depend on the camshaft I use?. I was thinking of using Skunk2 stiffer springs, but I hear Skunk2 does not make the best valvetrain for this engine. Any guidance will be much appreciated!. Thanks!.
