I think its alright, the avatar thing is neat but i think it kinda drops down the 360 to more the Wii level. Especially with the menu music. The windows and menus are pretty cool, but will take time to get used to. Personally i think they just should have kept the old dashboard and just refined and it and made it cooler, also adding in the much wanted and waited for group chat. ABOUT TIME!

I think it made it harder to navigate, but that may just because it's new and I've only played around in it for 5 or so minutes.

I like how it's made everything quicker. I'm playing COD 4 and get a chat invite from my cousin, and accepting it is much smoother and quicker. Less chance of dying while accepting it.

Or, if I leave the party active, he'll automatically rejoin and won't even need to send a chat invite.

As far as the avatars, meh. Finding friends takes a little longer, but your friends that are online are the first ones to show anyway.

Netflix integration is good. There are some decent movies to queue, except for anything by Sony studios, assholes. The HD selection is laughable at best.

I hoped that installing games to the hard drive would make load times faster, especially for Fallout 3, but nope.

Overall, I like it.

Have any of you guys done the install to HD yet? From what I hear Bungie does not want people to install H3 to the HD. I havnt been able to verify that yet. No access to their site from work.

they said the made the game to run off the disc .. installing the game will result in slower matchmaking, loading.. slower everything on the game.. they suggest not doing it

That is pretty much what I figured. They spent a lot of time optomizing Halo 3.
