Ok, my cousin has a presario 5000

i just ordered a quick restore disk and want to confirm it will do what i need it to do...

drive c was formatted, but drive d was left intact...

from my understanding all the information stored on drive D, combined with the quick restore CD should bring it back to factory spec, can anyone confirm?

From what i understand Drive D has nothing to do with it. I think that Disk is what Compaq installs on your computer before you get it.

i think when you get the quick restore cd's it doesn't matter if you format c and d drives...

i formatted c and installed win 98 instead of win ME

popped in the quick restore cd's and about an hour later it was back to absolute stock with all factory drivers and programs including the burner software and all that...

compaq quick restore gets a big thumbs up form me...
even a retarded chimp could manage this...
