Default Media player help...

I have an external harddrive with all my music on it, when I hook it into my laptop and open media player, I can play one song then it stops. How do you get it to auto play anything and everything from an external drive without having to click on each individual song?

if youre using windows media player, drop it.

get winamp, its a lot better for playing external devices.
you just have to plug it in.
but if you dont wanna switch, you have to add all the files to the library.
you can do it this way with any media player, but it takes some time depending on how much music you have. go to file>add media to library by folder then select your external drive.
