Default Odd underbuffer like problem

Compy does this since I reinstalled windows, and never did this before, so I'm pretty sure it's not hardware related.

Anytime I do anything multimedia related, whether it be games, a dvd, a video on the harddrive it does this: every 5 mins or so the video will stop and then speed back up again, like watching a video on a slow internet connection.

Suggestions, solutions?

I made the page file bigger. I doubt the codecs, it does it during games, a dvd, a divx or a wmv movie. I'll try updating the drivers if that doesn't fix it.

Sometimes games use video codecs for miscellaneous uses, so it's possible however unlikely. It's still a good idea to make sure you have all the video codecs you need.

I'd bet it's video drivers or chipset drivers.

It was the mobo chipset drivers. I updated to the actual Intel drivers from the generic Windows drivers and everything worked fine, just like that. Thanks!
