I have spybot and etrust antivirus, but something has gotten into my work computer.

i can't download anything to scan it and spybot and etrust come up empty. is there anything i can run that i don't have to download. i have a corrupt file that wont allow access to run any antivirus. we have already tried all the workarounds.

any ideas?

Can you download from another computer onto a flashdrive, and install another antivirus software from the flashdrive? Or hooking up the hard drive to another computer and running antivirus scan from the other harddrive?

i can get the files just fine. but when i run the program, i get this errror....

Basically i can download stuff, but i can't run it.

hmmm...i got norton to download and run now. we'll see what happens.

Rollback to a week ago, immediately download and scan.

did that already. it follows me.

scanned with norton, etrust antivirus, and spybot. still not 100% healthy yet, but the computer is usable.

so they (our tech support) tried to replace the file and it didn't work. i went and did it that way, and i was able to open some other programs. now i just need to start opening stuff to see if it works.

restore - start in safe mode - remove virus ect.- scan computer - GET BACK TO WORK!
