Default So I bought Madden 07 Fri night...

and wow, I hate preseason. The game pulls your starters at the half time. Takes some time to learn the controls, but it's starting to get really fun now that I know how to do some great rushing and passing.

I'm already 2-1 in my preseason, and I'm waiting for the regular season to start so I can kick ass with my Colts.

Oh, and Brian, BDN Brian, isn't very observant. We went to get some Chinese food so I drove all the way down southwest and ended up parking next to his semi bobtail (no trailer)...

Somehow he didn't notice it until we were on our way OUT from the place. "Holy crap that big rig park right next to you!" haha

I had a good laugh about that all day Saturday.

the new madden isn't too bad. it takes a minute to get use to the controls. learn the hit stick and truck stick (right joystick) it helps a lot in open field.

Yeah it took me about 4 losses to finally get used to the shotgun and running patterns. I had to play some REALLY sucky teams to work on my rushing game, but it actually has netted me some great yardage. I had a game that was like 78-21 where I had 30 yards rushing and 700+ yards in passing. lol

I finally figured out how to use Sorgi too, he's not too bad being the Colts backup QB.

It gives me my football fix through the week now. lol

you'll want to bump up the difficulty level then. it gets boring smashing on teams.

Those were just exhibition games, against college teams... against NFL teams I suck. I hate playing the computer though, they had two fumbles that the coach challenges and gets the call overturned. Fuckin rediculous. But then when I fumble in OT, they pick it up and on the first play they get the TD winning it.

Nope. Fuck that bullshit. If they hadn't won like that I'd take the loss, but all those calls and that bullshit. No.

I havent played it, i own 05. The gameplay in 05 is slower than 06, im sure 07 is just as fast as 06. oh, and FUCK qb vision.

yeah, I skipped '06 and bought '07, seems to me all that qb vision is good for is looking off receivers, other than that, I am used to the old style of passing so to me that shit gets a but it is cool that you can take control of the receiver you are looking at and find the soft spot in the zone

i didnt know you could take control of the recievers, thats pretty cool. Im assuming its the same as controlling a blocker in 05 with the right stick.

yeah, it is. it's only good when you are scrambling and you can streak them up the sidelines.

I only take control of the running back when I'm doing rushing plays anymore.

I beat Jacksonville last night 31-28 when I completed two 40 yard passes to get in field goal range. Then I wasted time like no tomorrow, just like the real Colts.

it is pretty realistic. if you play against the colts, they run a hurry up offense and manning takes about 3 days to snap it. he just sits there at the line and calls audibles. you will figure out which plays work really well. on the regular difficulty level, you can do a lot of play action and go deep. counter running plays work well to. when you bump the difficulty, you will have to use a lead blocker or spread it out and run up the middle. that shit gets tough.

Well that was fun. I accidently corrupted my franchise last night when it autosaved after it simulated me into a loss in week 11.

So I deleted it and started over.

I went 4-0 through the pre-season and I'm 2-0 right now in the regular season. I intend to go through the superbowl undefeated.

if you want it to be realistic you need to lose to dallas first. indy is losing this week.
