I Have A 97 Honda Civic With A Stock d16y7 And One Day My Car Was Running Sluggish And Than I Changed The Spark Plugs And Cap Put All Back Together Right And Now It Wont Start Got A P1298 Code The ELD Code What Can Be The Problem And How Do I Get My Car Started It Gets Fuel But No Spark So What Can Be The Problen Need Advice PLZ Thanks

P1298 = Electrical Load Detector Circuit High Input. It is built into the fuse box in the engine compartment, but usually the code is thrown due to a short somewhere else in the electrical system. Check for any exposed/pinched/shorted wires in the engine compartment and check for any blown fuses in both the engine bay fuse box and the fuse box inside the car. If all that checks out okay you probably have a bad ELD unit and will need to replace the engine bay fuse box assy.

But Will That Cause The Car Not To Start It Will Crank But There Is No Spark Going To The Spark Plugs Will That Cause That Problem

Did you even check for what I suggested or not? I am not replying to this thread any longer.

The engine not getting spark speaks to what norcalgsr is talking about.

if there is a short in your wiring, not only will the ELD code pop up, its more than likely the reason that you are not getting spark.
