Code 19 Auto Tranny code on Manual Car?
97 Civic Turbo, D16Y8, OBD 1 Conversion. Car has P28 ECU, tuned with Chrome. Getting a code 19 (Lock-up control solenoid valve) which is only on an automatic transmission. I have no other codes, and it appears that when the conversion was done, an automatic ECU was used. Is there a way to have the chip written for a manual so that it goes away? or does someone know of a way to jumper certain pins on the ECU or send resistance so that it "sees" this sensor and it goes away? Just want my check engine light gone!! Hope I dont have to buy a new ECU. Thanks...
