I plugged a code reader into my 97 honda accord to see if there was anything wrong with it and it told me this..."electrical load detector circuit high input"
does anybody know what this means and if it is very hard to fix? Please help, I have no clue what to do |

It also goes off due to a missed ground...as the time spent under the hood of the lude has taught me.
Check the big 3 grounds. (Valve Cover, Thermostat and Transmission) __________________

well yeah as reikoshea says, might be. i'd say 99% chance it is. honda likes to keep it simple.
the bad news is, the ELD isnt a servicable part. it's integrated into the fuse box innards. you'll have to probably get a new under-hood fuse box. i dont know anyone first hand that's had it go bad. but ya... |

well it doesnt go out often, usually its an alert of something else, like the distributor or a short in the wiring.

high input would lead me to belive a sensor is malfunctioning, outputting a value much higher than the ECU expected, or that the circuit expected. mmmaybe if you had a higher amperage fuse than what something is supposed to use. just some guesses.
