ok i have adistributor from an obd2 civic si. i need to know how many wires should be on the plug, and i need their colors. mine has a toal of nine wires, but i have been told it should have one more or one less, who's right?

i have a second question, too. are the plugs (colors or wires) different between vtec(b16a) and non-vtec(b18b) dist.?

1- All OBD2 dizzy's have the same amount of wires (SOHC-SOHC, DOHC-DOHC)

You cannot use a SOHC dizzy on a DOHC engine and vice-versa.

2- They shouldn't be. You can use a LS dizzy on a B16 as long as you cut one of the legs off.

what does it mean to cut off one of the legs?

legs are the mounting "feet"

ok now that i see the difference(mow i have an ls dizzy and a b16 dizzy) i know what you mean, but the wires are exactly the same.

for some reason when you get to obd2b they change.
