Ok, here's my dilemma. I have a B18b motor in my 99 civic dx. I am currently running an OBD I LS ECU via OBD II to OBD I wire harness. My idle keeps fluctuating like crazy. Sometimes it would rev high, rev low, and would even die at idle. The idle is just bad and irritating.

Somebody told me that it probably has to do with the way my ECU harness wasn't wired. My SOHC harness has three wires for the IAC while the DOHC ECU only has two wires. I was told that I need to move one of the wires to the end of the ECU instead of just swapping the plugs.

Does anybody know anything about this? How am I supposed to know which wire to move to fix my idle problem? I have already tried the methods on this forum regarding how to fix an "Erratic Idle." None of those tips worked. I'm almost certain that it has to do with my ECU wiring.

Please help Honda gurus. I just want my idle to be nice and steady.

(Also, I'm running a Greddy turbo kit with blue box as well in case you need that info.)

There's info on www.pgmfi.org about this... Do a search over there... "3 wire IACV"
