Here is a sweat radar detecter. I have had one of these for some time now. It has saved me from about 20 tickets. The only thing it doesn't have is laser detect from the rear. But how many cops use laser from behind, they are usually on the side of the highway about a 1/4 mile ahead of you pointing the laser at you. That and if the laser is on you, your probably already screwed.

But check it out, its pretty cheap too. Its the only 2 line display that I know of, backlit too with dim modes. I promise you won't be dissapointed.

If the detector isn't using a Superheterodyne, GaAs FET VCO reciever than it's pretty much worthless.
If you really want a detector that will be worth buying pick up either the

A) escort passport 8500 Passport 8500
B) valentine 1 valentine1

those are pretty much the only good choices out there to even think of buying.
they pboth claim the that their competion sucks but they are both the best.

Other than that you get waht ya pay for.

I DONT NEED ALL THE GISMOS AND GADGETS, I DONT NEED THIS LITTLE DEVICE TO TELL ME WERE IT IS COMING FROM BECAUSE WHEN IT SENSES A DETECTION U ARE JUST GOING TO SLOW DOWN ANYWAYS. SO I DONT THINK I NEED TO BLOW 400 MORE BONES, I HAVE MINE AND I LIKE IT, IT TWO HAS SOME FEATURES THAT OTHERS DON'T.

then done even bother getting one ... its just going to give you a false sence of security
cheap radar detectors dont do shit .... they beep when they want to ... i can say this from experience
several of my friends have all sorts of radar detectors... they go off for every automatic door you go by ... and ive been in the cars when they didnt catch a cop doing radar....

most people end up getting more tickets with a shitty detector than with no detector at all

My passport treats me just fine and paid $317.98 shipped to my door.

if you don't wanna know what direction the signal is coming from get the passport 8500 0r even the 7500 which is about $229

and I agree with all the others you only have 2 choices when it comes to radar/laser detectors.
