I have an `88 CRX Si tranny that I am trying to rebuild...I have all the cover bolts off of it but the cover only comes off 1/2" or so, anyone know why it only comes off that far? I tried prying lightly with no luck.

have you pulled up on the clutch lever while you are trying to pull the tranny? occasionally, the clutch doesn't want to let go

I removed the piolet bearing and clutch fork, took off every bolt I could find.

If the tranny is out of the car and away from the motor there is a bolt that you take out of the tranny. its on the top and you use your ratchet (no socket) to get it off, then there is a clip that you have to seperate or open up to get past the bearing. best way to do it is get to flat heads and then have someone pull up on the tranny while your doing it.

Maybe before you attempt this you should have a look at a service manual. If you can't even get it apart you obviously have never had a honda tranny apart and will probably eff something up.

Ha! Didn't notice that.

Why the hell do people do that even thought it says how old it is on top of the message box?
