Default Cant figure this out

Ok so, from what I hear this site has all kinds of OEM parts. I cant seem to get past the first search though, it always takes me to parts that I dont want to see. Im lookin for parts for an LS/Vtec build, so my chassis code is irrelevant. I was just lookin for pointers on how to search.

Honda Automotive Parts

Maybe I just need to learn the parts numbers of the parts Im lookin for? Thanks in advance for some info.

Your name says it all. Scratch your idea of building the LSV if you don't know what you're looking for.

You can search for a part for building an LSV with a Chassis Code. IE, LS pistons could be a let's say 1994 Acura Integra LS 1.8 L4, b18b1. DC chassis.

Let's say you needed the VTEC solenoid, 2000 Honda Civic Si 1.6L L4, b16a2, EK

Just FYI, I know how to build engines, Ive been buildin Big Block Fords and makin 400HP with em for about 4 years now. With that said, I know what parts im lookin for, but Im new to Hondas so I dont have the Honda OEM part numbers memorized. Thank you for the examples though, that answered my second question. Now, I can go about finding the P/N's. Thanks again.

you could prob search for an LSV build write up that will include all honda oem part numbers
makes it a lot easier to order them

and 400hp out of a big block ford?
OMG how'd you do it?
whats your secret to getting THAT MUCH hp from such a small motor
didn't they almost have 400 from the factory? lol

Thats the dumbest shit ive ever heard. Do you have any idea what a 406 is? Thats an FE, thats what i know the most about, you dont even know what FE satnds for let alone how its different from other big blocks. Look at the comp ratios, 12.5:1 and you source is shit, they went to 13.0:1. Also, look at the years that motor was available. They still had a thing called lead in the pump gas, do you know what lead is? The 406 is a 427 with decreased bore, the 427 was banned by nascar because the only engine that could even match it was the Hemi, which was banned also. The 406 is rarer than a 427 side oiler, not that you know what that is either, and if you think Im lucky enough to own one than your dumber than I first thought. I build HD 390's because of the price difference. They start with 9.5:1 compression and 275HP. So, 400 horse is a big jump, considering the compression remained the same, as well as stroke, and the stock crank and rods where used. I suggest you pick you battles a little more careful next time you fuckin idiot.

P.S. I used the same source on those numbers that you did, incase you wanna argue more.

he wasnt saying he was the be all end all on information on ford big blocks.

he was more making fun saying you can get 400HP out of a 6.5+L block. When its not really that difficult to get that kind of power out of a 1.8L block (cash consuming yes, difficult, no).

oh and this thread has been moved to engine building since you cant even read the thing that says "NO TECH POSTS IN THE LOUNGE"

thanks for bein a douche.

hey ford lover, i was just joking around
notice the little smiley face

congratulations on proving yourself to be just like every other ford hardon out there.
always with something to prove.

but like i said some ford big blocks DID come from the factory claiming 400 hp

maybe you should think before you call someone a fucking idiot next time?

Ok, the first post was non-tech, but if you think this is where is belongs its all the same to me. No problem, im glad i could be the douche that first posted sumthin tech related, oh wait nvm.

Ok then man, they did claim 400 from big blocks, they also claimed 750, but those engines arent even in the same realm as mine, and if you think its not difficult to get 400hp from what i started with then its a good thing you focus on hondas. If you expect me to not get offensive when you say shit like than i dont know what to tell you. and no, if could take that post back and try it again id still call you a fuckin idiot for tryin to argue bbf's with me.
