So I just got a 95 civic. The timming belt went on it so I am going to put a d15b engine in it and I need some advise. I read that It will bolt right in and I can use the stock tranny but I may need a p28 ecu as the car I have is non Vtec. I am in Canada and I need a decent place to get parts I was looking at https://www.tigerjapanese.com/index.php anyone heard of them. The engine I want is listed for around $520. If anyone can point me in a cheaper direction it would help. This will be my first swap so all is welcome.
Also the guy says it is an SI the VIN says 2 in the 8th position and the site I found says that a 2 = Civic DX 2-door, Civic EX 2-door, Civic HX or Civic CVT How can I destiguish what it is. Honda VIN numbers ![]() |
