I recently got a d16y8 motor and put it in my 93 civic lx. Was a very easy install and the HP gain over the 1.5 ltr was outstanding. since then ive put a cat back exauhst and a cold air intake system on it and converted it to a 5 speed. well I was comming home from work one stormy night and ran through a massive puddle i didnt see sucking a bunch of water into my motor and leaving me stranded on the side of the road in the pouring rain. the following day i got it running again but it had a bad knock in the motor. after tearing the motor down i found i bent the #1 rod and it was slapping the bottom of the piston wall leaving a small indention in it. im pretty sure it will be ok becouse its not high enough to contact the rings. now I was looking at a post https://hondaswap.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8979 and seen that i could put pistons out of a d16a1 into my d16y8 and have a CR of 12.8:1. i put a reply in there "but all i got was a reply from some jurk that didnt think that changing your CR from 9.4:1 to 12.8:1 would gain you 46 hp" what i wanna know if there is anything else i have to do to make this work... thank you for all your help
