real easy question
can super tech valve springs+retainers be used with crower stage 3 cams?
also can they be used with skunk 2 cams.
the motor will be reved to 8600 rpms.
full stage 2 alterdcreations head work with stock valves
i will be using a stock usdm bottom end with apr rod bolts and coated main and rod bearings

pretty sure the answer is yes. ive never used supertech parts, but ive heard good things from people that have used them.

i would assume jun. cam specs are very very misleading, so i really cant answer that, but i know jun has one of the best n/a cams.

with us makers. $ is a big factor..the cam really depends on the outcome of the head built. if the dyno come up with around 210 with out the cams then i will go for max power. but if i turbo i dont want to go with anything bigger than stage two. with cams are proven to make power in the 8000 -9000 rpm range?

i have a porter head/ intake/throttlebody/fuel.
i am thinking of stage 1 cams so i can retain my factory valve train.
underground racing makes replicas and i might try his skunk 2 stage 1 after i get the engine running of the factory stuff/ maby type s but i want to rev to 8200-9000 if it makes power up their

this is the head i am trying to rev up to 9000+

and one of the most important things

i think the reason that h22 stop making power high up is due to the moter starving for air. after i get the set up running i might change the rods and put stage i cams in. we will see how high i can make power with this bitch

its actually more because of the stroke. ive heard of f20b cranks being used (with f20b rods) and it not only helps with the compression, it helps with the ability to rev up high (shorter stroke).

pair that with some rocket m24x cams, and youll be kickin some ass.

i really want to rev to 8400 with the stock h22a4 rods but i dont know how long it will last.

the sleeves arent really that weak...its more the ring lands. frm sleeves are like comparing carbon fiber to metal. metal bends and takes a lot to break, but carbon fiber does have a higher tensile strength.

i dunno, its almost 3 and i think i need to finish this after i get some sleep.

Have you ever heard the phrase, "RPM means Ruins People's Motors"? The higher you rev the more stress you put on your motor. Large motors aren't meant to rev high for a reason, it puts a lot of stress on the cylinder walls. And from what I understand the H22 doesn't have the best stock sleeves. Rev'ing higher than you need to is straight up rice. Build your motor, put it on a dyno, and let the tuner decide where you should rev to. If you insist on rev'ing high, don't think your stock rebuild is going to last very long.
yep thats the plan.
i will put it on the dyno see where it makes power at but the way i ported the head and the intake manifold along with the 74 mm throttle body that i am using should help with my goal.
one of the only reason that i love hondas is because of their ablity to rev. the s2000 has the same stroke and bore and revs very high(also it has longer rods, taller deck). the only reason i am building the engine is see if i can make power up their. if i take it to the dyno
and if my power dosent drop of at 8200 rpms then i will throw on some rods and valve springs and retainers and test it again.(that wll determin what cams that i will use. i like putting myself to new challanges. ionce ported a f22a head and ending spinning a bearing because the engine started to like high rpms. i hope the same thing happens hear but i will change the rods. i honestly do not consider a 2.2 liter moter a large displacement motor.i also see guys putting stroker kits in b series engine with a 92mm stroke and 84mm pistons turning 9000+rpms. i think it would be fun finishing this engine and finding out its limits. i have seen a h22 rev to 9000 on the dyno and the power dropped dramaticaly after 8000rpms.
i will be intresting. any ay its all good as long as i make power

i like to let me engine breath. strech out the gears. clear out the lungs.
i also used to run my last engine with a 3 inch coldair with no air filter just a velosity stack and chicken wire steel mesh so no animals or leaves get in there.
