Default Which head is better the D16z6 or D16y8

I got a d16y8 block im going to build and I don't know which head I should buy the D16Z6 OR D16Y8 which one is the better overall one? Also I heard the Y8 intake manifold is the best one to use on any of the d series swaps is this true?

the y8 head is a little more advanced, including the IM.

but, its obd2. sometimes, its just easier to use the z6 head and lose 2-3 hp VS dealing with converting everything.

Also would I have to convert anything to use the Y8 intake manifold on the z6 like the sensors or anything? Thats if the Y8 IM is compatable with the z6 head.

yes, the y8 bolts up.

you haven't mentioned what car this is going into, so i have no idea what you may need to change or what obd you're aiming for.
