Help-2000 auto 4 dr. civic lx needs engine/tranny swap
Yo guys-i gotta few questions.
I, unfortunately, have a 4 door, 4 speed auto, 2000 civic lx, and frankly...it sucks. I really want convert it to a 5 speed, and swap the engine out for something good. maybe throw in a turbo-but thats for later. What would be some good engines to swap that would give me at least 200 hp, the more the better, and any recommendations for the tranny? i'm tired of my 1.6 My friend works at a garage, so i could get the labor for real cheap, just wondering about the engine mostly? thanks. |

The only engines that will easily swap into your car and make 200 hp stock are the H22 or the K20/K24. There's plenty of Honda V6s that make 200 horses, but swapping one of those would be a nightmare.
