Okay guys, for about 4-5 months, my transmission reverse gear has been out... so i just delt with it... well just recently my clutch started slipping, its slipping REALLY bad now

I took out a loan and got some money, here's what im doing

-Exedy Organic Clutch
-Exedy Lightened Flywheel (9lbs)
-Quaife LSD

And I'm having local ship (CBi) fixed reverse and any bad syncro's, install clutch/flywheel/lsd

This all going in my 2000 Civic Si (so the S4C tranny) But I forgot about the Final drive, i want to get the ITR final drive

Does it matter if it is USDM or JDM?? is the JDM one better, or are htey both the same. And how much am i looking to spend on the final drive? Where can i pick it up? Is it even worth me gettin it? or should i just be happy with what i've got so far

My route = N/A

USDM ITR = 4.400 final drive (same as USDM Si i believe)
JDM ITR 98+ = 4.785 final drive

running the JDM ITR FD will basicly give you the same gearing as the EDM ITR

is this going to be a daily driver or a track car???

for daily driving your RPMs will ALWAYS be high as fuck ( i know i have a JDM ITR setup)
for daily driving your fuel consumption will suck ass (i actually can get better milage around town than i can on the highway )
for the track you will have a very nice setup that will KEEP you in the high RPMs where your power is

I'd like to get a quaife LSD for my Civic...let me know how it feels afterwards...I drive on a lot of snow up here in Indiana and I think it'd help quite a bit just for that.

What made you decide on the Quaife though? I know there are at least 7 different LSDs that are made for the Honda B series engines.

www.JDMHondaParts.com for the JDM Type R LSD
www.opmmotorsports.com for an OPM LSD
www.bozzperformance.com for a Cusco LSD
www.kaazusa.com for a Kaaz LSD
www.phantomgrip.com for a Phantom Grip LSD
www.kingmotorsports.com for a Mugen LSD
www.quaifeamerica.com for a Quaife LSD

All these were in the January 2002 Edition of Sport Compact Car. They had a listing of 93 bottom end parts for the Honda B Series engine...back then I had an Escort...but now this article is a lot more informational to me.

I dont think I'll get the ITR Final Drive anymore, the car is a daily driver..but its my street/strip car so.. i gotta do what i can, i think ill stick with the Si Final Driver.... keep it a happy medium..

Im going definately do a write up on the whole setup when i get it down.

I choose Quaife because I've heard nothing but good things from them + lifetiem warrenty on the diff. cant beat that!

KaaZ is right up there with Quaife, but I was able to get a good deal on the Quaife Dif ($780 shipped to my door)

the ITR helical diff is weak, and not worth the money, nor would it make any difference really in my tranny

never heard of OPM, cusco was TOO much money, Phantom Grip is a lockin diff.. and it just plain sucks from what i hear and i was unaware that mugen made an LSD and i just checked it out, way too much money for to spend lol
