You can use the pr3 rings, since they are the same bore size. The stroke of the motor is what makes the motor 1.6 or 1.8 liters. Just realize you are bumping compression quite a bit. You also need to use the ls rods. Pr3 rods are too short.

That all depends on the head gasket thickness and the head he uses...
Stock LS head w/ 1 layer HG 11.69:1 2 layer HG 11.39:1 3 layer HG 11.10:1 B16/B17/ITR Head w/ 1 layer HG 12.30:1 2 layer HG 11.96:1 3 layer HG 11.63:1 B18C head w/ 1 layer HG 10.89:1 2 layer HG 11.18:1 3 layer HG 11.48:1 __________________

Simply put the head gasket has 3 layers to it... a 2 layer has 2, a 1 layer has 1. When you get the head closer to the block it raises the compression, the further away from the block you are the high the compression. __________________

I was looking at an LS/Vtec setup with those pistons I think you are around 11.6 : 1
that is with OEM gasket B18 Block and B16 Head. __________________
