could you guys tell me what are the advantages and disadvantages of using a ls crank in a gsr block, besides the oil squirters? and also what size rods and what piston for 11.8 compression would provide the best r/s ratio with a micropolished ls crank? thanks for all the help

using an LS crank in a gsr block will give you about 30cc more displacement, and thus, more torque.
the gsr also has a block girdle to support the crank. you need to use LS-length rods (oem LS rods won't fit a gsr piston- jdm p30 b16 sir pistons will fit ls rods and will give a low 11:1 ish compression) rod/stroke ratio will be the exact same as the ls. figures are in the reference section. compression depends on a lot of things- mainly, the head choice, gasket thickness, and all that. |
