ls vtec
when doing an ls vtec can i run stock b18 not takin apart and use the dowel set and plug from the golden eagle kit and just put the b16 head on it?? i have read that the bottom end needs to be balanced... is this a must? and if so how come?

Do some research, then you would find out that the reason people talk about balancing is because you are adding reachable RPM's with the B16 head on it and the LS's were not made to rev that high. The rod bolts are junk.
Plus you will need way more than just "the dowel set and plug from the golden eagle kit and just put the b16 head on it" Do some research before you ask the most asked questions ever, check this out - Build a Reliable LS/VTEC |
